I offer a confidential face to face/one to one counselling service for a range of issues, providing a ‘safe space’ for clients to talk about their lives, problems and goals.  Alongside face to face, I also offer video counselling sessions, especially for those clients who cannot or prefer not to travel to my Tamworth venue.

Counselling is concerned with self-exploration and discovery, looking at new perspectives, choices and coping strategies in life and my job is to help you facilitate this process, coming alongside you as you face challenges and find resolutions or simply peace, in your life.

Most importantly I offer warmth and understanding and strive to build  a trusting relationship with each and every client.

I am a fully qualified integrative counsellor, which means I use a variety of counselling approaches, including CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), to help clients through difficult times and various issues.

I have worked within the nhs and hospice care sector and have over 12 years experience of working in private counselling practice.  I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy. I work in Tamworth on 5 days of the week.

How long will I need?
Client’s needs vary but on average 6 – 8 sessions, but as short or long term as required.

How much will it cost?
£45 per hour for a one to one counselling session and/or video session – student concession available.

Supervision profile

I offer integrative clinical supervision for counsellors, holding a National Counselling Society Certificate in Supervision and providing a safe space to explore working and growing as practitioners.  I would aim to be able to encourage supervisees in expressing their needs and increasing their self-awareness as a therapist, particularly in areas such as how; style, personality, authenticity, and modality can impact on the therapy they offer.  I believe it is important to be able to bring all of you to supervision, as all of you can affect your work with clients.

I provide contracted support based on supervisee and/or client focus and the maintenance of ethical professional standards.  I hope to enable supervisees to increase competency and potential, as well as facilitate empowerment through nurture, confidence building and wellbeing.

My supervisory practice, as with my clinical work, is underpinned by the core conditions of empathy, respect and authenticity and my personal philosophies & values of warmth, care and compassion for others, promoting sound professional relationships.

Fees: £50 per hour or £70 for 90 minutes (counselling students concession available)
